I found these “How Canadian are You?” quizzes the other day. At first I was concerned that I had been away from Canada too long. My score on How Canadian are You? was …
bq.. You are 83% Hoser, Eh?
You are an average hoser, who manages to retain a sense of his or her country despite the constant bombardment of American propaganda. Continue the struggle, brothers and sisters!
p.. Then I tried How Canadian Are You? and found that it wasn’t so bad after all …
bq.. You are 97% Canuck!
You rock, you are an almighty Canadian through and through. You have proven your worthiness and have won the elite prize of living in a country as awesome as Canada. Yes I know other countries think they are better, but we let them have that cuz we know better than they do, eh?
p.. *Update:* The situation is even better than I thought. I discovered How Canadian are you? and I am …
bq.. Totally Canadian, eh!
You are 100% Canadian! If you don’t absolutely love hockey, you at least know how how to play it and have sat through a game. You either know how to drive in the snow, or you get mad when people drive like idiots in the snow. The letter U is used in a lot of the words that you use. The people at Timmy’s know you’re order!!!
p.. –*Disclaimer:* I don’t really think that I ever had to walk home from school… even from the bus stop… in 60 cm of snow. That would have been a “snow day” and school would have been cancelled.–

Wow! I have long wondered about the designation of certain countries in the world as “developing”. If they are developing towards what “we” have, we have a huge problem. Maybe we ought to designate Canada as “over-developed.”
BTW, about the only consolation for Canadians is that Americans consume more.
