bahula-bulletin: April 2013 update

I ‘m pleased to announce that I will become the Curriculum Design and Development Officer with Horizon International Schools ( in late May. I will be responsible for the oversight of the design and development of Horizon’s curricula tailored to address the cultural needs and standards of affiliates. Horizon is an integrated auxiliary of ABWE and an undergraduate, distance-learning theological school. In partnership with theological institutions around the world, we offer culturally informed curricula and tools to equip leaders in their own language for global ministry.

I will continue as an ABWE Canada missionary, sent by Compass Community Church and supported by generous individuals and faithful churches. However, I will no longer serve as the Director of Communications and Training for ABWE Canada. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served the constituency and missionary family of ABWE Canada in this way. It was a safe landing zone after Jane’s death.

We appreciate your prayers for my ministry, but we are even more grateful for your prayers for our family. Family life can be challenging at the best of times, but being the single parent of six children has unique challenges. The prayers of many are sustaining us through these opportunities to grow.

Above all, please continue to pray for our spiritual life and maturing. Some days it seems enough to survive the day. It is easy to become preoccupied with the obvious needs like food, clothing, and schoolwork. Meeting spiritual needs requires more intentional effort. Pray for wisdom and strength.

Thanks for your continued prayers for us and for the ministry. Please ask if you have questions about this change. I’d love to discuss it with you!

In Christ,
