Sometime ago, while home in Canada and making use of London’s public library system, I waded through Thomas Friedman’s The World is Flat. While some of it was tedious to read, I was left wondering about how all of this world change impacts the church’s missionary efforts. (I also wondered what I need to teach my kids, but more on that another time). At the time I collected some links and that’s where it stayed.
Today my thinking was rekindled as a read “Our world is changing fast” on The M Blog. In his post, Guy pointed me to this thought-provoking YouTube video. What does this mean for world missions?
FWIW, here’s my collection of links about church, missions and The World is Flat:
- From Matt at Broken Steeple, “Flat World – Bright Hope”
- From Alvin at Books, Culture and the Gospel, “The World is Flat”
- From Steve at Into the Heart, “If ‘The World is Flat,’ then the church should be…” [no longer available]
- From Tim at Life Together, “The World is Flat”
- From Eric at Eric Swanson, “Thomas Friedman–the world’s best missiologist”
